Width typically trumps height in horizontal column radiators, and this DQ Modus, manufactured in Germany, embodies that principle perfectly. Measuring 600mm in height and 1220mm wide, it is a rectangular unit that requires radiator pipes that are 1300mm apart to the centres to install. Its substantial size enables it to yield an abundant heat output of 6831 BTUs per hour, aided by the sophisticated 4 Column design and heat-efficient Steel assembly. This cutting-edge format also incorporates a stunning contemporary-industrial aesthetic, echoing traditional column radiators with some 21st-century design choices – the Historic Copper colouring and finish is a stunning combination. Measuring 136mm in depth, it will project 161mm into the room on pipes that are 91mm from the wall. The frame’s 26 sections weigh in at a rugged 51kg.
